What the work-life report is
The work-life report (informe de vida laboral) is the official document from Spain's General Treasury of Social Security (TGSS) listing every period you were registered as a worker: employers, dates, contribution days and the schemes you belonged to.
It is requested constantly: for a mortgage, to claim unemployment benefit, to estimate your pension, for public exams, or simply to check your contributions are recorded correctly.
The fastest way: by SMS, no Cl@ve
Many people assume they need a digital certificate or Cl@ve. They don't. If your mobile number is registered with Social Security, you can download the report with a code sent by SMS.
Step by step
- Go to Import@ss (portal.seg-social.gob.es).
- Find "Your work-life report".
- Choose the SMS code access option.
- Enter your ID/NIE, date of birth and mobile number.
- You'll receive a code by SMS; enter it to confirm your identity.
- Download the official PDF with your full work history.
The essential requirement is a mobile registered with Social Security. If you never registered it, the SMS won't arrive.
