Activate an extra digital method in Cl@ve: Cl@ve Permanente and Cl@ve Firma
If you already use Cl@ve PIN and want something more solid, here’s how to activate Cl@ve Permanente and Cl@ve Firma so you can sign online procedures without a certificate on your PC. Works for AEAT, DGT, INSS, SEPE… so you don’t have to rely only on PINs.

- 1.Go to https://clave.gob.es and sign in to your personal area with Cl@ve PIN, Cl@ve Permanente, DNIe or certificado FNMT.
- 2.From your account, go to the gestión de medios section and activate Cl@ve Permanente: create a password, confirm it by SMS and save the changes (info: https://clave.gob.es/clave_Home/como-funciona/clave-permanente.html).
- 3.Return to the management area and activate Cl@ve Firma: accept the terms, generate the cloud keys and validate with the SMS code (info: https://clave.gob.es/clave_Home/como-funciona/clave-firma.html).
- 4.Check both work by entering a procedure that accepts Cl@ve (for example, an AEAT form) and choose Cl@ve Permanente or Cl@ve Firma when prompted.
- 5.Review and update your mobile and email in your Cl@ve profile so you don’t get stuck if you change number.
