Apply for the Carné Joven (European) in your comunidad autónoma

If you are between 14 and 30 (depends on CCAA) and live in Spain, the Carné Joven gives you discounts and perks. You process it on your community's website and they usually give you a digital version straight away.

- 1.Go to Injuve and click your comunidad to open its Carné Joven portal: https://www.injuve.es/europa/programas-y-actividades/carne-joven-europeo
- 2.On your CCAA's site, search “Carné Joven” and click Solicitar en línea (examples: Madrid https://www.comunidad.madrid/servicios/juventud/carne-joven, Catalunya https://carnetjove.cat/).
- 3.Identify with Cl@ve, certificado digital or DNIe and fill in the form (personal details, address where you're empadronado).
- 4.Attach the documents they ask for: DNI/NIE (and TIE if applicable), photo if required and parental authorisation if you're a minor. Check file sizes the website allows.
- 5.If your CCAA charges a fee, pay through their gateway by card or direct debit and keep the receipt. Some portals integrate payment into the form.
- 6.Confirm the application. Download or get the digital card by email (PDF/QR or app activation). If you request a physical card, choose postal delivery or collection at a punto joven.
- 7.Check the resolution or email for the expiry date and, if it's digital, activate the card in the app your CCAA specifies.
