CCSE exam for nationality: booking, payment and certificate

If you're applying for nationality, the CCSE is the Spain-knowledge test they usually ask for. You book and pay online at the Instituto Cervantes, pick centre and date, and download the certificate once you pass.

- 1.Go to https://examenes.cervantes.es/es/ccse and create an account with your email; confirm it from the message you receive.
- 2.Fill in your details EXACTLY as they appear on your passport/TIE and upload the scan; any wrong number can stop you from taking the exam.
- 3.Choose centre and date on the centres map, pay the fee with a card and download the resguardo with your registration code.
- 4.From your profile, download the convocatoria with time and address; if you need to change the date, do it in advance (there's usually a 72-hour cut-off).
- 5.On exam day go to the centre with your original document and the resguardo; arrive early, they ID you and you take the test (25 questions, 45 minutes).
- 6.About 3 weeks later, log into your profile and check the result; if PASS, download the certificate PDF. If FAIL, you can use the second included convocatoria to retake.
