Recognise a foreign degree in Spain (university or Bachillerato)

- 1.Go to the Sede de Universidades (https://universidades.sede.gob.es) and search “Homologación y equivalencia de títulos extranjeros de educación superior”. Log in with Cl@ve or digital certificate.
- 2.Fill the application: choose homologación (for titles that give access to a regulated profession) or equivalencia (recognition of MECES/grade/master level) and select the Spanish title you are aiming for. Upload PDFs of the title, academic transcript, study programmes, apostilles and sworn translations.
- 3.Generate and pay the fee on the same sede: Modelo 790-107 (universitarios). If you pay at a bank, use the NRC; if you pay online it links automatically. Keep the receipt.
- 4.Sign and submit the application electronically. Download the receipt with the expediente number and keep it safe.
- 5.If they ask for subsanación (10 días hábiles), go to your Carpeta Ciudadana (https://carpetaciudadana.gob.es) or to the expediente in the sede and upload the missing items with Cl@ve.
- 6.Check the status on the sede. When there is a resolution, download the homologación/equivalencia credential or the agreement with compensatory measures (aptitude test or practicals).
- 7.If your case is Bachillerato/ESO, process it at https://sede.educacion.gob.es or at your CCAA education department. Documentation is similar and the fee is Modelo 790-079.
