If you became Spanish or changed your passport number, this certificate ties your old NIE to your Spanish DNI or to your new passport. It saves you headaches with AEAT, Seguridad Social, DGT and banks that otherwise can’t find you in their systems.

- 1.Generate the fee at https://sede.policia.gob.es/Tasa790_012/ and select the epigraph “Certificado de concordancia” (or “Certificados/otros” if your province groups it that way). Pay online or print the form to pay at the bank.
- 2.Book an appointment at https://sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es/icpplus/ choosing your province and the Policía procedure that includes “Certificado de concordancia” (sometimes shown as “Certificados y asignación NIE”).
- 3.Go to the indicated comisaría with both passports (new and old), your TIE/NIE, DNI if you already have it, and the proof of payment for Modelo 790 código 012.
- 4.At the desk they identify you and verify the data match (NIE ↔ DNI/passport). They print the certificate on the spot with stamp and signature.
- 5.Check that your data is correct and, if they allow it, ask for an extra copy. Then use it to update AEAT, Seguridad Social, DGT and your bank.
