Non-Resident Certificate (how to request it from Policía)
Used to prove that you DO NOT reside in Spain — banks often ask for this to open non-resident accounts. Managed by Policía/Extranjería with the EX-15 and paying the fee Modelo 790 código 012.

- 1.Generate the fee: go to https://sede.policia.gob.es/Tasa790_012/ select "Certificado de No Residente", fill in your details and download the PDF to pay at the bank or online if available. Keep the payment receipt/NRC.
- 2.Book an appointment: go to https://sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es/icpplus/index.html choose your province and the Policía procedure related to "Certificados/NIE – Certificado de no residente" (the exact name varies by province).
- 3.Fill in Modelo EX-15 marking the box for "Certificados" and "Certificado de No Residente", state the reason (e.g., opening a bank account in Spain) and sign it.
- 4.Attend the comisaría/extranjería office on the appointment day with passport, EX-15, proof of payment of the Modelo 790 código 012, proof of address outside Spain and the bank letter (if requested).
- 5.They issue the certificate: in many offices they give it on the spot; if not, they will give you a receipt and deliver it in 1–5 días hábiles.
- 6.If a representative acts for you, submit the signed authorisation, their DNI/NIE and a copy of your passport. Some offices require the original signature to be clearly recognisable.
