Guía completa

What you need to have ready
  1. Cl@ve or certificado digital to submit the application online.
  2. Contrato de alquiler o escritura and a fresh empadronamiento colectivo.
  3. Receipts: IBI or rent, and electricity/water bills or connection certificates.
  4. Details of your family to be reunited (names, relationship, passports/NIE).
  5. A working phone: they will call to arrange the technician’s visit.
Documentation
  1. Formulario oficial of the informe de vivienda adecuada (from your comunidad or ayuntamiento).
  2. DNI/NIE of the applicant; if you’re not the owner, an authorisation from the owner + their DNI.
  3. Contrato/escritura and empadronamiento colectivo < 3 months.
  4. Utilities: recent electricity and water bills or connection certificates.
  5. List of current occupants and the people to be reunited.
  6. Sketch/plan if you have one (not essential if there will be an inspection).
Step by step
  1. Find the procedure on the sede of your comunidad/ayuntamiento (search “Informe de vivienda adecuada reagrupación”). Log in with Cl@ve.
  2. Complete the form with property and reagrupados details. Attach PDFs: contract/deed, empadronamiento, utilities and DNI/NIE.
  3. Pay the fee via the payment gateway (keep the receipt). Some places produce a payment slip to pay at the bank.
  4. Wait for the call/appointment for the inspection. If you can’t make it, reschedule quickly; delaying it just slows everything down.
  5. Technical visit: make sure electricity and water work, there is ventilation, and the place is tidy. The technician will take photos and measurements.
  6. Download the resolution from your Carpeta Ciudadana. If it’s favorable, great. If desfavorable, check the reasons and consider fixing them.
  7. Add the report to your reagrupación file (procedimiento EX‑02) at sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es (upload or add documents).
Time-saving tricks
  1. Fresh collective empadronamiento: they often reject it if older than 3 months.
  2. All PDFs legible and named clearly (Contrato_vivienda.pdf, Empadronamiento_2026-05.pdf). Fewer calls and returns.
  3. Utilities active on the visit day. No electricity or water and the report will fail.
  4. Check local criteria early: if you suspect lack of space, talk to servicios sociales about local rules before booking the inspection.
  5. Don’t request it too early: Extranjería usually wants it recent (≈3 months).
Common mistakes that can derail your application
  1. Requesting it too early so it expires before you submit the reagrupación.
  2. Old or non-collective empadronamiento (they require everyone to be listed).
  3. Missing utilities or a contract that’s unsigned/outdated.
  4. Confusing the body: it’s not processed at Policía; it’s through your comunidad/ayuntamiento.
  5. Not being home on the inspection day: you can be delayed for weeks.
  1. 1.Go to the sede electrónica of your comunidad autónoma or ayuntamiento and search for “Informe de vivienda adecuada” for reagrupación; start the application with Cl@ve or certificado digital.
  2. 2.Fill in the form with the flat details and the people to be reunited; attach contract/deed, empadronamiento colectivo and utilities proofs in PDF.
  3. 3.Pay the municipal/autonómica fee in the payment gateway and save the receipt (some places generate their own payment slip to pay at a bank).
  4. 4.Indicate your availability for the inspection; they will propose a date by phone or electronic notification.
  5. 5.The technician visits: they check metres, ventilation, number of rooms and that electricity/water work; they take photos and measurements.
  6. 6.They notify you the report (favorable or desfavorable) in your Carpeta Ciudadana municipal/autonómica; download the electronically signed document.
  7. 7.Add the report to your reagrupación file (EX-02) at sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es, under “Aportación de documentación” or when submitting the application.
