Extraordinary Regularisation 2026: arraigo under RD 316/2026 (DA 20ª and DA 21ª)

What to have ready

• Cl@ve or certificado digital (to submit via the REC and read notifications).
• Pasaporte completo en vigor.
• Padrón histórico proving you were in Spain before 01/01/2026.
• For DA 20ª: resguardo de solicitud de asilo anterior al 01/01/2026 and any notifications you have.
• Proofs of actual stay (DA 21ª): medical appointments, school enrolment, contracts, invoices, tickets, transfers with receipts, etc.
• Antecedentes penales apostillados/legalizados and translated if needed.
• Receipt of payment for the 790-052.

Documentation

1. Pasaporte (todas las páginas).
2. Padrón histórico anterior al 01/01/2026.
3. Pruebas de permanencia previas a 01/01/2026 (DA 21ª) o resguardo de asilo previo a esa fecha (DA 20ª).
4. Antecedentes penales del país de origen/últimos 5 años, con apostilla y traducción jurada si no están en español.
5. Tasa 790-052 pagada (guarda NRC o CSV).
6. Formulario oficial que publique Migraciones para esta regularización; si no está, escrito de solicitud indicando DA 20ª o DA 21ª del RD 316/2026.
7. Autorización de consulta de penales en España o declaración responsable.

Step by step

1. Confirm whether you go under DA 20ª (asylum before 01/01/2026) or DA 21ª (physical stay in Spain before 01/01/2026).
2. Gather padrón and solid proofs. Random undated photos or odd screenshots won’t do.
3. Generate and pay the 790-052. Without the paid fee they will require it and you’ll lose time.
4. Scan everything to PDF, readable and under 10 MB each. One document = one PDF.
5. File via the REC: https://rec.redsara.es, addressed to your Oficina de Extranjería. Tick electronic notifications.
6. Monitor DEHú (https://dehu.redsara.es) and Carpeta Ciudadana (https://carpetaciudadana.gob.es). If they ask for subsanación, reply inside the deadline.
7. If granted: download the resolution, pay the 790-012 and book huellas at https://icp.administracionelectronica.gob.es/icpplus/. Go with passport, photo, recent padrón, resolution and the fee receipt.

Time-saving tips

• Order antecedentes penales and the apostilla as soon as possible; that’s the biggest bottleneck.
• If you struggle with the REC, use a representative with apoderamiento via https://apodera.redsara.es.
• Name PDFs clearly: "01_Pasaporte", "02_Padron", etc. Cuts down on pointless requerimientos.
• Huellas slots get snatched. Check several times a day, first thing in the morning.
• Keep all CSVs/NRCs for fees and submissions. If something is lost, you can prove payment.

Common mistakes that can mess up the application

• Submitting without clear proof you were in Spain before 01/01/2026 or without an asylum resguardo for DA 20ª.
• Paying 790-052 with the wrong epígrafe or not attaching the receipt with CSV/NRC.
• Uploading unreadable scans or blurry photos; they will request them and you’ll lose weeks.
• Failing to include apostilla/translation for foreign criminal records.
• Mixing DA 20ª and DA 21ª documents: inconsistency = inadmisión.
• Leaving it until the last week of June: if REC fails or they request subsanación, you won’t make it in time.
