Residence card for a family member of an EU citizen (Familiar Comunitario)

If you live in Spain because you are married to, registered as a partner of, or are a child/ascendant of an EU/EEA citizen, this is the card that recognises that right. It lets you stay and work here without the hassle of the general regime.

Activar Radar de Citas
  1. 1.Download and fill in the EX-19 from extranjeros.inclusion.gob.es and gather all documents with apostille/translation if needed.
  2. 2.Pay the fee Modelo 790 Código 052 at sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es/pagina/index/directorio/tasa052 (print or get an NRC) and keep the receipt.
  3. 3.Submit the application: either online via the Registro Electrónico Común (rec.redsara.es/registro) with Cl@ve/certificado addressed to the Oficina de Extranjería of your province, or in person with a cita at icp.administracionelectronica.gob.es/icpplus/ (select Extranjería).
  4. 4.Wait for the resolution (you'll be notified via the sede electrónica if you applied online or by post). If they ask for subsanación, upload it by the same route before the deadline.
  5. 5.Once the card is granted, pay the fee Modelo 790 Código 012 for issuance of the TIE at sede.policia.gob.es/Tasa790_012/ and keep the receipt.
  6. 6.Book an appointment for fingerprints (TIE issuance) at icp.administracionelectronica.gob.es/icpplus/ (Comisaría/Extranjería for your province).
  7. 7.Go to the fingerprints appointment with passport, resolution, payment receipts for tasas 052 and 012, recent empadronamiento and 3 passport photos; then collect the TIE on the date they give you.
