Intra-company transfer (ICT): authorisation and TIE in Spain
If your company is moving someone from another office in the same group to Spain (executive, specialist or trainee), this is where you apply for the Migraciones authorisation (Ley 14/2013) and then the TIE at the Policía. Valid for companies moving staff within the same corporate group.

- 1.The company enters the Sede de Migraciones (UGE-CE) and submits the residence authorisation for traslado intraempresarial (ICT) online using certificado digital/Cl@ve: https://extranjeros.inclusion.gob.es
- 2.The company pays tasa 038 of Ley 14/2013 and attaches the payment receipt to the application (amount varies depending on the authorisation)
- 3.If the worker is outside Spain, once you have a favourable resolution you apply for the ICT visa at the relevant Consulate of Spain: https://www.exteriores.gob.es/Consulados
- 4.Once in Spain, book the fingerprint appointment (TIE) at Policía: Trámites de Extranjería > Toma de huellas (expedición TIE) at https://sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es/icpplus/index.html
- 5.Fill in and pay tasa 790-012 online or at a bank: https://sede.policia.gob.es/Tasa790_012/
- 6.Attend the appointment with EX-17, passport, resolution/visa, photo, padrón (if required) and the tasa 790-012 receipt; they take fingerprints and give you a receipt to collect the TIE
- 7.Collect the TIE at the same comisaría when they notify you (usually takes 3–6 weeks; bring the receipt and your passport)
