Request an additional supplement to your pension (mínimos or brecha de género) at the INSS
If you already receive an INSS pension and you lack the complemento a mínimos or the complemento for the brecha de género, this is where you request that extra. It’s for people who meet the income/residence rules (mínimos) or who qualify due to children on their employment record (brecha de género).

- 1.Go to the “Solicitud y trámites de prestaciones de la Seguridad Social (INSS)” service at https://tramites.seg-social.es/acceso/solicitud-y-tramites-de-prestaciones-de-la-seguridad-social.html
- 2.Log in with Cl@ve (PIN or Permanente), a certificado digital or DNIe. If it won’t let you in, try a desktop browser and clear cookies.
- 3.In the form, pick your pension and under “Tipo de gestión” state the reason: “Complemento a mínimos” or “Complemento para la reducción de la brecha de género”.
- 4.Fill in the requested data (income, household, children, etc.) and attach the PDFs: renta, empadronamiento, libro de familia, other incomes, and the IBAN.
- 5.Check the summary, sign electronically and submit. Download the registro receipt (CSV) in case you need to appeal.
- 6.Track the status from Tu Seguridad Social at https://sede.seg-social.gob.es (the prestaciones section) and reply if they request more documents.
