Procedure 13: request additional supplements to your pension (mínimos and gender gap) – INSS
Use this to ask for a supplement to your contributory pension (complemento a mínimos or complemento para la reducción de la brecha de género) if you meet the requirements. Useful if your pension is below the minimum or if you have children and are entitled to the gender-gap supplement.

- 1.Log in to Tu Seguridad Social with Cl@ve, certificado digital or DNIe: https://sede.seg-social.gob.es/wps/portal/sede/tuss
- 2.Find the procedure named "Complemento a mínimos" or "Complemento para la reducción de la brecha de género" and click Solicitar. If it doesn’t appear, use "Presentación de otras solicitudes, escritos o comunicaciones (INSS)": https://tramites.seg-social.es/acceso/otros-escritos-comunicaciones
- 3.Fill in the form: type of pension, incomes for the current and previous year, residence in Spain and, for the gender-gap supplement, data about your children and custody
- 4.Attach PDFs of the documents: pension resolution, empadronamiento (for mínimos), income proofs, libro de familia/birth certificates (for brecha de género)
- 5.Sign with Cl@ve/Certificate and submit. Download the submission receipt (keep it safe)
- 6.If you prefer in-person, book an appointment at "Cita Previa para Pensiones y otras prestaciones (INSS)": https://sede.seg-social.gob.es/wps/portal/sede/sede/Ciudadanos/Cita+Previa/Cita+Previa+para+Pensiones+y+otras+prestaciones+INSS and take originals and copies
- 7.Check the status in Tu Seguridad Social. They will notify you by post or electronically if something is missing or if they approve it
