Tutelas y curatelas: judicial appointment and registration in the Registro Civil
If you have been appointed tutor or curator (after the 2021 reform) and need it on record, this explains how to register it in the Registro Civil so you can act before banks and administrations. It covers tutelas for minors and curatelas for adults who need support.

- 1.If there is no final resolution yet: start the expediente de provisión de apoyos at the Juzgado de Primera Instancia of the person’s domicile (usually with abogado and procurador; if Fiscalía promotes, they will summon you). If you already have a final resolution, continue.
- 2.Go to https://sede.mjusticia.gob.es with Cl@ve and go to Registro Civil > (Inscripción de representaciones legales: tutelas/curatelas) for the competent Registro Civil.
- 3.Fill the online application with the tutelado/curatelado and tutor/curador details, and attach the judicial testimonio firme, DNIs, empadronamiento and, if needed, the certificación literal de nacimiento as PDFs.
- 4.Sign and submit the application on the sede; save the presentation receipt (número de entrada/registro).
- 5.If your Registro Civil is not in DICIREG or the procedure doesn't appear online, submit via the Registro Electrónico Común to the Registro Civil: https://rec.redsara.es (choose Ministerio de Justicia > Registro Civil) or hand it in at the counter.
- 6.When they notify you of the registration, go back to the sede and request the certificación literal of the entry to present it to banks, AEAT, DGT, Seguridad Social, etc.
