- 1.Go to the Ministerio de Justicia website: trámite “Certificado de actos de última voluntad” and choose “Tramitación online con Cl@ve/certificado digital” (https://sede.mjusticia.gob.es/es/tramites/certificado-ultimas-voluntades).
- 2.Check that 15 días hábiles have passed since the death. Fill in your details and the deceased’s exactly as they appear on the certificación literal.
- 3.Attach the certificación literal de defunción in PDF/image (if the death was abroad, include apostilla/legalisation and translation if needed).
- 4.Pay the fee Modelo 790-006 inside the sede (card or account debit) or generate the 790-006 to pay at a bank and upload the receipt.
- 5.Sign with Cl@ve and submit. Download the receipt. If everything matches, the certificate appears as a PDF with CSV to download; if something’s missing, they’ll ask you to fix it by email.
- 6.If you do it by post: fill and pay Modelo 790-006, and send the application, the fee receipt and the certificación literal to: Registro General de Actos de Última Voluntad, Plaza de Jacinto Benavente 3, 28012 Madrid (or to your Gerencia Territorial).
