- 1.Go to the portal of your CCAA health service (SERMAS, ICS, SAS, Osakidetza, etc.) and ID yourself with Cl@ve (PIN or Permanente).
- 2.Check you have an active referral: in “Mis trámites” or “Interconsultas” the specialist’s volante should appear. If it doesn’t, book a GP appointment first so they can issue the referral.
- 3.Go to “Citas” > “Cita con especialista/consultas hospitalarias”, pick the speciality and, if allowed, the hospital (some CCAA let you choose).
- 4.Enter the data the system asks for (volante number if requested), pick a date and time slot from the available options and confirm.
- 5.Download or save the appointment proof (PDF or screenshot) and turn on SMS/email alerts.
- 6.If there are no slots, add yourself to the waiting list from the same screen and enable notifications for when a slot frees up.
- 7.To change or cancel, go to “Mis citas” on the portal and manage the appointment with Cl@ve. If it’s the same day and the web won’t let you, call the hospital phone number shown on the appointment confirmation.
