Request recognition of Degree of Disability
This is to get your Comunidad Autónoma to assess and officially recognise a disability percentage (33%, 65%, etc.) with effects for tax deductions, benefits and the PMR card. It’s aimed at people with physical, mental or sensory health limitations who need official accreditation.

- 1.Log in with Cl@ve or a certificate at the Registro Electrónico Común (REC) in rec.redsara.es and choose “Presentar solicitud”. If your CCAA has its own procedure, use that (search for “reconocimiento grado de discapacidad” on your community’s sede).
- 2.Fill in the application addressed to your autonómico competent body for disability (Consejería/Servicio de Asuntos Sociales). Say if you also request mobility scoring and third‑person assistance. If there’s no specific form, submit an instancia general citing RD 888/2022.
- 3.Attach medical reports and tests as PDFs (separate by specialty; name files clearly). If you do not authorise data checks, attach DNI/NIE and padrón.
- 4.Register the application and save the submission receipt. Check later in your Carpeta Ciudadana (carpetaciudadana.gob.es) in case they ask for subsanación.
- 5.Wait for the valuation team appointment (they’ll call or notify date and time). Attend with DNI/NIE and originals of reports in case they want to review them.
- 6.You’ll get a resolution with the percentage, degree, mobility scoring and review date. If you disagree, file a recurso de alzada within 1 month via the same registry.
