The course lasts 12–24 teaching hours. Points update usually takes 1–3 working days after the course; in some cases up to 1 week.

Curso parcial: precio regulado por DGT (suele rondar 200–250€). Curso total: 350–450€. Examen recuperación total: tasa DGT adicional (depende de tarifa vigente).

- 1.Go to the Sede de la DGT and check your points balance with Cl@ve or certificado (sede.dgt.gob.es) so you know if you need a parcial or total course.
- 2.Decide the course type: parcial (if you still have points) or total (if you’re at 0 and your licence lost vigour). Watch the suspension deadlines if you’re at 0.
- 3.Find an authorised centre in the official DGT list and book a date (calendars and centres on the DGT website).
- 4.Pay the centre and attend all hours: 12 h for parcial recovery; 24 h for total recovery (100% attendance and punctuality).
- 5.If it’s total recovery: the centre signs you up for the theory test at the Jefatura de Tráfico; you pay the examen tasa DGT and take your DNI and the course certificate on test day.
- 6.When you finish (and pass if it’s total), the centre notifies the DGT and your points are updated. Check your balance again on the Sede de la DGT to confirm.
