- 1.Go to sede.dgt.gob.es, Vehicles > "Consulta tus vehículos" and log in with Cl@ve or certificado to see what the REU has registered in your name.
- 2.Check holder, address, VIN (bastidor) and technical data. If you only need to change the vehicle's address, use the "Cambio de domicilio de vehículos" service with Cl@ve (it's online and free).
- 3.If you find a data error (e.g., VIN, make, date of first registration), submit a telematic escrito in "Escritos y comunicaciones" of the DGT attaching the permiso de circulación, tarjeta ITV/eITV and your escrito explaining the correction.
- 4.If you prefer in person, book a cita previa at your Jefatura de Tráfico (from the DGT site, section Cita previa) and bring originals + copies of all documents.
- 5.Keep the registration receipt (número de entrada). After a few days, go back to "Consulta tus vehículos" or check the miDGT app to confirm the REU reflects the change.
- 6.If you need proof, request an "Informe de vehículo" from the sede to verify the corrected data (informe reducido free; the detailed one carries tasa 4.1).
