Registering and managing Electronic Notifications (DEHú) with Cl@ve or FNMT certificate

Without a digital certificate, you depend on in-person appointments. We guide you.

This is the registration and use of the single notifications inbox (DEHú) so you get electronic notices from the Administrations. It’s for citizens and companies who want to drop paper and keep track of deadlines using Cl@ve or a FNMT certificate.

Guía completa

What to have ready
  1. DNI/NIE and, if you use DNIe, its PIN.
  2. Cl@ve PIN/Permanente or certificado FNMT/DNIe (at least one working).
  3. Phone for SMS and an email you check daily.
  4. If you act for a company, the NIF and, if you're not the owner, a poder in Apodera.
  5. Autofirma installed if an organismo asks you to sign receipt (https://firmaelectronica.gob.es/Home/Descargas.html).
Documentation
  • Electronic ID: Cl@ve PIN/Permanente or certificado FNMT/DNIe.
  • DNI/NIE in force.
  • Phone and email to set alerts.
  • Entity data if you act for a legal person (NIF, razón social).
  • Electronic power of attorney in Apodera if you manage on behalf of someone else.
Step by step
  1. Get Cl@ve if you don't have it: https://clave.gob.es/clave_Home/registro/registro.html. You can do it by videollamada, with certificate, or in person at a registration office (book via https://clave.gob.es if you go in person). It's a bit of work, but worth it.
  2. Register in DEHú: go to https://dehu.redsara.es, sign in with Cl@ve or certificate and accept the conditions. Set up email and phone for alerts.
  3. Adjust alerts in Carpeta Ciudadana: https://carpetaciudadana.gob.es > Mis datos y avisos. Verify that email and phone are confirmed. Enable push if you use the app.
  4. Check and accept: at https://carpetaciudadana.gob.es (Mis notificaciones) or https://dehu.redsara.es you'll see pending notifications. Open them, accept if needed and download the PDF/ZIP with the acuse (store it safely).
  5. Traffic (optional): if you want fines online, sign up for DEV: https://sede.dgt.gob.es/es/tramites-y-multas/multas/direccion-electronica-vial-dev/. For individuals it's voluntary; for legal persons, mandatory.
  6. Delegations: if a third party manages for you, create the poder in https://apodera.redsara.es/apodera/ciudadano/inicio indicating organismo and trámite. Avoids headaches if you can't log in yourself.
Time-savers
  • Set reminders: if something serious arrives, mark the 10 días naturales limit in your calendar. It's the usual thing that will wreck your deadline.
  • Centralise in Carpeta Ciudadana: it's easier than hopping between sites. Still, check DEV if you have traffic matters.
  • Always download the acuse and name it with date and organismo. When someone asks, you'll have it.
  • If a site asks for firma, use Autofirma and a desktop browser (Chrome/Edge usually work best). Avoid trying on mobile.
  • Cl@ve Permanente is usually steadier than PIN if you log in a lot.
Common mistakes to avoid
  1. Thinking that if the email/SMS doesn't arrive it doesn't count. Alerts are only indicative; the notification runs regardless.
  2. Letting the 10 días naturales pass without opening it. It's considered notified and you lose appeal time.
  3. Believing everything is in DEHú: DGT (DEV) and Justicia use their own channels. If you expect a fine or court papers, check their sites.
  4. Not having a poder in Apodera so your gestor can't accept on your behalf. Result: notification expires.
  5. Letting your certificate expire or not having Cl@ve ready on the deadline day. No access is not an excuse.
  1. 1.If you don't have Cl@ve, register at https://clave.gob.es/clave_Home/registro/registro.html (videollamada, with certificate or by postal letter). If you prefer in person, book an appointment at a Cl@ve registration office (AEAT, Seguridad Social, etc.) via https://clave.gob.es.
  2. 2.Go to DEHú at https://dehu.redsara.es and register by accepting the terms. Provide email and phone for alerts and confirm the channel.
  3. 3.Set up alerts in Carpeta Ciudadana: https://carpetaciudadana.gob.es > Mis datos y avisos. Check that your email and phone are verified.
  4. 4.Check your notifications at https://carpetaciudadana.gob.es (Mis notificaciones) or directly at https://dehu.redsara.es. Open the notification, accept it and download the PDF/ZIP with the acuse.
  5. 5.If you want traffic fines by email/SMS, sign up for the Dirección Electrónica Vial (DEV) of the DGT: https://sede.dgt.gob.es/es/tramites-y-multas/multas/direccion-electronica-vial-dev/ (voluntary for individuals, mandatory for legal persons).
  6. 6.If you delegate to a gestoría, grant power in Apodera: https://apodera.redsara.es/apodera/ciudadano/inicio (select the organismos and trámites you give access to).
  • DNI or NIE in force (and passport if you're a foreigner without DNIe)
  • Cl@ve PIN/Permanente or Certificado Digital FNMT/DNIe installed and working
  • Phone that receives SMS and an email account you check daily
  • Company details if you act for a legal person (NIF and razón social)
  • Electronic power of attorney in Apodera if someone else will manage it for you
  • Autofirma installed if any notification requires signing (Windows/macOS/Linux)
