- 1.Go to your town hall website and look for the procedure “Recogida de muebles y enseres” or “Punto limpio / Ecoparque”. Fill the online form with your details, address, types of waste and number of items. If there’s no form, call 010 (or the municipal cleaning number) and open a report.
- 2.Choose how you’ll do it: home collection or you take it yourself. If collection, they assign a day and time slot; if punto limpio, note the address, opening hours and whether it’s fixed or mobile.
- 3.Prepare the waste: separate bulky items (furniture/mattress), RAEE (appliances and electronics) and hazardous waste (paints, aerosols, oil). Hazardous waste is usually only accepted at the punto limpio; they don’t normally pick it up from the street.
- 4.On the assigned collection day, bring the items down to the pavement next to your portal within the indicated time slot. Don’t block passage and don’t leave them the night before. Keep the reference number of the report in case of issues.
- 5.If you’re going to the punto limpio, take your DNI and, if requested, proof of address in the municipality. Declare what you’re delivering and respect the centre’s unit/kg limits per day.
- 6.If you can’t make the assigned day, change or cancel the collection via the same form or by calling 010. Better that than leaving stuff on the street and getting fined.
