- 1.Download and fill the EX-01 from extranjería: https://extranjeros.inclusion.gob.es/ficheros/Modelos_solicitudes/mod_solicitudes2/EX-01_Autorizacion_residencia_temporal_no_lucrativa.pdf
- 2.Book an appointment at the Spanish Consulate in your country for the “Visado de residencia no lucrativa” via https://www.exteriores.gob.es and submit EX-01 + all documentation with apostilles and sworn translations into Spanish
- 3.Wait for the decision, collect the visa at the Consulate and enter Spain within the visa validity period (usually 3 months)
- 4.As soon as you arrive, book the TIE appointment (fingerprints) at https://sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es/icpplus/ selecting your province and “POLICÍA – TOMA DE HUELLAS (EXPEDICIÓN DE TARJETA)”
- 5.Generate and pay the 790-012 fee (TIE) at https://sede.policia.gob.es/Tasa790_012/; if you can’t pay online, print the PDF and pay at a bank
- 6.Attend the police station on the appointment day with passport, visa in the passport, proof of payment of the 790-012, 1–2 photos, and proof of address (volante de empadronamiento or contract); they will take your fingerprints
- 7.Collect the TIE at the same police station when they notify you (usually takes 30–45 days)
