Subsidy for people aged 52 or over (SEPE)
A monthly SEPE payment for people aged 52 or older who are unemployed and have the necessary contribution record to retire later. It keeps you on a subsidy and credits retirement contributions until you reach retirement age, as long as you meet the yearly requirements.

- 1.Register or check you are still registered as a jobseeker with your Servicio Autonómico de Empleo (get the DARDE in force). Without this, don’t bother starting.
- 2.Go to https://sede.sepe.gob.es and go to Personas > Prestaciones y subsidios > Solicitar. Identify yourself with Cl@ve (PIN or Permanent), certificado digital or DNIe.
- 3.Choose Subsidio para mayores de 52 años, fill the form and attach income proofs, DARDE, company certificates (if any) and your IBAN.
- 4.Review and sign the application electronically. Download the registration receipt (save it like gold).
- 5.If you can’t do it online, book a cita previa at https://sede.sepe.gob.es/citaprevia to submit the application in person with originals and copies.
- 6.When it’s approved, note the date for the Declaración Anual de Rentas (DAR). If your income changes or you work, tell SEPE via the Sede as soon as possible.
