Guía completa
What you need to have to hand
- DNI/NIE yours and the worker’s.
- Número de la Seguridad Social (NAF) for both. If she doesn’t have one, you’ll need to request it first.
- IBAN where TGSS will collect the receipts.
- Home address where the work is carried out.
- Contract details: start date, weekly hours, gross salary, extra pays (prorated or not) and schedule.
Documentation
- Identification: DNI/NIE of the employer and the worker.
- NUSS/NAF: if the worker doesn’t have it, prior procedure (TA.1 in Importass).
- Permissions: NIE and work authorisation if she’s foreign.
- Bank: IBAN for domiciling contributions.
- Contact: phone and email for both.
Step by step
- Go to Importass (importass.seg-social.es) with Cl@ve or certificado and open the procedure “Alta en empleo de hogar”.
- No NUSS for the worker: first use the procedure “Obtener Número de la Seguridad Social” and note the number.
- Register as employer if you don’t yet have the household CCC. The system creates the CCC del hogar immediately.
- Fill the registration: start date (always before they start), workplace address, contact details, hours and gross salary. Indicate if extra pays are prorated or not.
- Direct debit: enter the IBAN. Without an account there is no registration; receipts are charged monthly.
- Sign and save the receipt. You’ll see the confirmed registration and can download the proof. Check the Informe de datos de cotización afterwards to be sure.
Time-saving tips
- Calculate the gross salary including extra pays: prorated or 14 pays. You’ll avoid later differences.
- If unsure about hours, use a simulation in Importass before confirming.
- The start date can be communicated up to 60 days before. Don’t leave it until the last minute.
- If your Cl@ve PIN expires, generate a new one before starting the form so you don’t lose what you entered.
Typical mistakes that can mess up the procedure
- Registering after they’ve started: surcharges and possible fines. Not worth it.
- Entering net salary instead of gross: contributions will be miscalculated. Always use gross.
- Forgetting extra pays: mark prorated or 14 pays. If you don’t, TGSS recalculates and you’ll get a surprise.
- No IBAN: without domiciliation there’s no registration. Have the account ready.
- Thinking that under 60 h/month registers itself: since 2022 it no longer does; it’s your responsibility as employer.
- 1.Go to importass.seg-social.es with Cl@ve/certificado and find the procedure “Alta en empleo de hogar”.
- 2.If the worker doesn’t have a Número de la Seguridad Social, first use “Obtener Número de la Seguridad Social” in Importass and save the NUSS.
- 3.If you don’t have a CCC for the household, the flow lets you register as employer and assigns a Código de Cuenta de Cotización for the home.
- 4.Fill in the contract details: registration date (before they start), gross salary, weekly hours, extra pays, workplace address and phone/email for both parties.
- 5.Enter the IBAN to domiciliate the contributions, review the summary and sign the application with Cl@ve or certificado. Download the registration receipt.
- 6.Check the registration immediately in Importass and, if you want, later review the “Informe de datos de cotización” to confirm everything is correct.
- DNI/NIE of the employer (you) and of the worker
- Número de la Seguridad Social of the employer and of the worker (if she doesn’t have one, request it first with TA.1 in Importass)
- NIE and residence/work authorisation if the worker is foreign
- Employer IBAN to set up direct debit for the contributions
- Exact address of the home where the service is provided
- Contract details: start date, gross monthly salary, weekly hours, number of extra pays (prorated or not), working hours
- Phone and email contact details of the employer and the worker
Register before they start
You must notify the registration before the work starts (you can do it up to 60 days in advance). If you miss the deadline you face surcharges on contributions and possible fines.
Employer is responsible
Even for few hours (less than 60 a month), since 2022 you as the employer are responsible for the registration and contributions, not the worker.
Salary and hours: get them right
Enter the real gross salary and correct weekly hours (include whether extra pays are prorated). If you make a mistake they will calculate contributions wrong and you’ll have to modify and cover differences.
Bank account is mandatory
No IBAN, no registration. TGSS will collect the monthly receipts automatically.

Can the worker register herself?
No. Since 2022 the employer registers the domestic worker. You can authorise a third party to do it, but the responsibility stays with you.
What if they’ve already started and I haven’t registered them?
Bad idea: you’ll face surcharges on contributions and potential fines. Register as soon as possible and regularise the dates if needed.
Do I need a written contract?
Yes if it exceeds 4 weeks. Social Security doesn’t require it for the registration, but it’s legally required and will save you trouble.
How much will I pay per month?
It depends on the declared salary and hours. Importass calculates the contribution (includes contingencies, unemployment and FOGASA). A 20% employer contribution reduction is usually applied if you meet the requirements.
I have several workers, do I need another registration and another CCC?
The household CCC is unique per address. You register each worker separately under the same CCC.
The worker doesn’t have a Social Security number, what do I do?
Get it first in Importass using the procedure “Obtener Número de la Seguridad Social”. It’s instant if you sign with Cl@ve.
