Guía completa
What you need to have to hand
- Your ID: Cl@ve, certificado digital or a mobile with SMS linked to the Seguridad Social.
- Household data: your CCC from the Sistema Especial de Empleados de Hogar and your Número de Seguridad Social.
- Worker data: DNI/NIE and Número de Afiliación.
- Date and reason for termination: dimisión, desistimiento, mutuo acuerdo, fallecimiento del empleador, etc.
- If you go to an office, bring the filled deregistration form and, if you act for someone else, an authorization and the DNIs.
Documentation
Step by step
- Go to importass.seg-social.es and open the Empleados de hogar section.
- Click Comunicar baja. Identify with Cl@ve, certificado or SMS.
- Select your hogar (CCC) and the worker. Enter date and reason for the deregistration. Make sure the date is correct.
- Confirm, sign and submit. Download the PDF receipt. That’s the important bit: contributions should stop from that date.
- Check in Importass (your personal area) that the employment shows as en baja with the correct date.
- No digital means? Book cita previa at the TGSS and submit the paper deregistration at the office that day (signed paper and your DNI).
Time‑saving tips
- Do the deregistration the same day of the termination or the next day. You avoid surcharges and surprises.
- If you log in by SMS, check first that your phone number is updated in the Seguridad Social. If it isn’t, you'll get an error at the end.
- If the termination has a future date, you can already schedule the deregistration in Importass. Better that than forgetting and being charged for a whole month.
- Keep the PDF receipt and a screenshot of the status in Importass. It saves you if there are discrepancies in contributions.
Common mistakes that can mess you up
- Entering the wrong date (one day late): you get charged extra contributions and may face surcharges.
- Misidentifying the worker (wrong NAF): the deregistration won't affect the right person and the error may not be obvious until you see the charges.
- Relying on phone login without it being linked: SMS login fails if your number isn't in the database. Fix: use Cl@ve or certificado.
- Leaving it past 3 days: you enter fines territory. If you already missed it, do it as soon as possible.
- Not checking the CCC: if you have more than one household, deregister the worker under the correct CCC or contributions will continue under the other one.
- 1.Go to Importass (importass.seg-social.es) and open Empleados de hogar > Baja.
- 2.Identify yourself with Cl@ve, certificado digital or by SMS if your phone is linked to the Seguridad Social.
- 3.Select the household (your CCC) and the worker, enter the termination date and the reason. Check the date carefully.
- 4.Confirm, sign and submit. Download the PDF receipt of the deregistration.
- 5.If you can't do it online, book an appointment at the TGSS (sede.seg-social.gob.es, Cita previa) and submit the deregistration at a Seguridad Social office.
- 6.Keep the receipt and check in Importass after 24–48 hours that the employment relationship appears as deregistered with the correct date.
Legal 3-day deadline
You have 3 calendar days from the termination to report the deregistration. Late notification can bring surcharges and fines, and contributions will keep accruing until the date you declare.
If you don't do it, the worker can
The worker can communicate the deregistration if you don't. Don't leave it: you'll avoid extra charges and trouble.
Watch the date
If you enter a later date by mistake, you'll be charged contributions up to that day. Double-check before signing.
Can I be fined if I don't deregister on time?
Yes. The deadline is 3 calendar days. If you miss it, you can be fined and you'll be charged contributions from the termination until the date you finally declare.
Can I do the deregistration without certificado or Cl@ve?
Yes. If your mobile is linked to the Seguridad Social you can identify by SMS in Importass. If not, you need Cl@ve/certificado or an in-person appointment at a TGSS office.
Is the deregistration immediate?
Online yes, it's recorded at once and you can download the receipt. In person it depends on the registry, but it usually appears within 24–72 hours.
Can I put a retroactive date?
You can enter a past date, but that is out of deadline: you risk surcharges and possible fines. Also, contributions will be generated up to the date you enter.
Do I have to attach the resignation letter or settlement?
Not for the TGSS. The deregistration only asks for date and reason. The letter, settlement and compensation are labour matters. Keep them in case of inspection or claims.
What if the employer has died?
Report the deregistration with the cause “fallecimiento del empleador”. A family member or representative can do it and, if you go to an office, bring the death certificate.
