Change the bank account in Seguridad Social (INSS benefits and TGSS contributions)

Retroactive registration: 60 days. After that, contributions are not recognised.

Use this to change the IBAN where INSS pensions/benefits are paid or where TGSS charges (self-employed contributions, employers) are taken. Handy if you opened a new account or your bank changed the IBAN.

  1. 1.Decide what you need to change: TGSS contributions/charges (autónomos domiciliation or CCC) via https://importass.seg-social.es or INSS benefit payments via https://tu.seg-social.gob.es.
  2. 2.TGSS contributions: go to https://importass.seg-social.es, identify yourself with Cl@ve or certificado digital, open Tu perfil > Cuenta bancaria and click Cambiar IBAN. Enter the new IBAN and confirm.
  3. 3.INSS benefits: go to https://tu.seg-social.gob.es, log in with Cl@ve or certificado digital, go to Tus prestaciones > Pagos > Cambiar cuenta bancaria. Type the new IBAN and validate.
  4. 4.If the system cannot verify the IBAN, upload the certificado de titularidad bancaria (PDF) and, if needed, the signed authorisation from the account holder.
  5. 5.If you can’t do it online, request cita previa at https://sede.seg-social.gob.es (choose INSS or TGSS depending on your case). Bring DNI, IBAN and the certificado de titularidad. They’ll process it at the counter.
  6. 6.Keep the receipt. Check the next autónomos charge or the next INSS payment to confirm money goes in/out from the new account.
