Request a Convenio Especial with the Seguridad Social
It lets you keep paying social security contributions on your own when you stop working and don’t want gaps in your pension or incapacity benefits. Useful if you were dismissed, move abroad, take early retirement or simply want to keep contribution bases.

- 1.Go to importass.seg-social.es and log in with Cl@ve, certificado digital or DNIe.
- 2.Search the service “Convenio especial” and pick the type that fits you (general, returned emigrants, carers, ERE, etc.).
- 3.Fill the form: personal data, the contribution base you want, effective date and set up direct debit on your bank account.
- 4.Upload the supporting documents: vida laboral / bases report, the document proving the end of the employment relationship or the resolution required for your case.
- 5.Check and sign the application online. Download the presentation receipt (PDF) in case there are later issues.
- 6.Watch your inbox in Import@ss and the DEHú for any requests. When the TGSS resolution arrives, check the base and the date. From then on they will charge the monthly fees.
