Guía completa
What you need to have handy
- DNI or NIE (the same one the Seguridad Social has).
- Cl@ve, Certificado digital or DNIe if you want to do it on the spot.
- Mobile number registered with TGSS if you're going in via SMS.
- Número de la Seguridad Social (NAF) so you can check you're looking at your record.
- Email if you want the PDF sent to you.
Documentation
- Electronic ID: Cl@ve PIN/Permanente, Certificado digital or DNIe (with PIN and reader).
- Mobile phone registered with TGSS (only if you use SMS).
- NIE/DNI and date of birth (they ask for these for the SMS).
- Payslips or quota receipts (you don't submit them, but they help you check if something looks wrong).
Step by step
- Go to Import@ss: https://importass.seg-social.es/tramites/informe-de-bases-de-cotizacion and click Iniciar.
- Choose how to ID: Cl@ve, Certificado or DNIe. If you choose via SMS, enter DNI/NIE, date of birth and your registered mobile to get the code.
- Select period (dates or years) and régimen (General, Autónomos/RETA, etc.). If you've worked several jobs in the same month, check they all show up.
- Click Generar and download the PDF with CSV. You can also email it to yourself from that screen.
- No electronic ID? Go to the Sede: https://sede.seg-social.gob.es/wps/portal/sede/sede/Ciudadanos/Informes+y+certificados, enter Informe de bases de cotización and use Sin certificado to request postal delivery to the address TGSS has for you.
Time-savers (tricks)
- Always download with the CSV: that avoids disputes about authenticity. The CSV validates on the Sede.
- If the SMS doesn't arrive, check and update your contact details in Import@ss (phone and email). With Cl@ve/certificado you can change them in two minutes.
- If it's for a bank, request the full calendar year or the exact range they ask for and avoid doing it twice.
- Try another browser if signing or download fails. Chrome/Edge usually behave better than Safari.
- If the last month doesn't appear, wait until mid next month: many companies close cotisations late and TGSS won't reflect them immediately.
Common mistakes that ruin the process
- Trying SMS when your mobile isn't registered with TGSS: the code never arrives and you waste time.
- Handing in a PDF without the CSV: banks and authorities can reject it.
- Assuming a missing cotisation is fraud when the month is simply not closed yet: it's a timing issue.
- Requesting a single month when they asked for several years: you'll have to run it again.
- Not checking the régimen: if you're both autónomo and employee, get both or you'll miss data.
- 1.Go to Import@ss: https://importass.seg-social.es/tramites/informe-de-bases-de-cotizacion and click Iniciar.
- 2.Identify yourself with Cl@ve, Certificado digital or DNIe. If you pick SMS, enter DNI/NIE, date of birth and the mobile that the Seguridad Social has on file to receive the code.
- 3.Select the period you want (specific dates or years) and the régimen (General, Autónomos/RETA, etc.). Check that all your jobs/altas appear.
- 4.Generate the report and download the PDF with CSV (verification code) or send it to your email. Keep the CSV in case a bank or authority asks for it.
- 5.If you don't have electronic ID, go to the Sede: https://sede.seg-social.gob.es/wps/portal/sede/sede/Ciudadanos/Informes+y+certificados, enter "Informe de bases de cotización" and use the "Sin certificado" option to request postal delivery to the address the Seguridad Social holds.
- 6.If you don't get the SMS or your mobile isn't correct: go into Import@ss and update "Tus datos de contacto" (phone and email). If you can't, use certificado/Cl@ve or request the report by post.
- DNI or NIE (the one you have registered with the Seguridad Social)
- Identification system: Cl@ve (PIN or Permanente), Certificado digital or DNIe (with PIN and reader)
- Mobile phone registered with the Seguridad Social if you choose identification by SMS
- Número de la Seguridad Social (NAF) to hand so you can verify it's your record
- Email address if you want the PDF sent by email (optional)
The last months might not appear closed
The base for the current month or the immediately previous month can show as incomplete or provisional until the company reports and TGSS closes the file (sometimes mid next month). It's not your fault.
SMS ID: mobile must be on TGSS records
If your phone number isn't on the Seguridad Social file, the SMS won't arrive. Update it in Import@ss (datos de contacto) with Cl@ve/certificado or ask for the report by postal mail.
PDF with CSV or they'll throw it out
Banks and authorities usually require the PDF with a verifiable CSV. If you hand in a scanned PDF or one without the CSV, they can reject it.
The website can be picky
Import@ss and the Sede work better in Chrome/Edge. If you get an error when signing or downloading, try another browser before losing your mind.

Does it include my bases as an autónomo (RETA) and as an employee?
Yes. You can filter by régimen. If you've been in several regímenes (General, RETA, Sistema Especial), you'll see each one separated by periods.
When does the last worked month's base appear?
Not immediately. It usually appears closed during the following month when the company submits the settlement and TGSS records it. For autónomos, after the quota is charged it can also take a few days.
Is it valid for a mortgage or a grant?
Yes. It's the report they normally ask for to check your contributions. Download it with the CSV so the bank/agency can validate it online.
I don't have Cl@ve or certificado and my mobile isn't on TGSS. What do I do?
Request the report via the "Sin certificado" option on the Sede and they'll send it by post to the address the Seguridad Social has on file. It takes a few days.
Can I request bases from past years?
Yes, select the date range. It will show what TGSS has in its systems, usually many years back.
Can I get fined for not requesting this report?
No. It's informational. It's used to check your contributions or to present where requested.
I see a very high or strange base. Is it wrong?
It could be the contribution ceiling, prorated payments, multiple companies or an ETT in the same month. If it smells wrong, compare with your payslips and talk to your employer or TGSS.
