Bonobús Social municipal (reduced transport for low incomes and specific groups)

This is your ayuntamiento’s help to travel cheaper on the urban bus (and sometimes metro/consorcio) if you are empadronado and meet income, unemployment, disability or age requirements. It gives you a personal, non-transferable social fare card/season ticket.

- 1.Go to your ayuntamiento’s sede electrónica, search “Bonobús Social” or “Tarjeta de transporte social” and authenticate with Cl@ve (PIN or Permanente).
- 2.Fill the online request: personal data, empadronamiento and economic situation. Tick the autorización de consulta de datos if you want them to fetch some certificates for you.
- 3.Attach PDFs/JPGs: DNI/NIE, padrón, Renta or certificado de imputaciones de la AEAT, vida laboral, benefit proofs and the passport photo (respect the size and file limits the sede sets).
- 4.Submit the request and download the justificante (expediente number). Turn on electronic notifications if offered.
- 5.When instructed, book a cita previa at the municipal transport office/EMT for verification and card issuing (the appointment is usually mandatory).
- 6.Attend the cita with originals. They verify docs, take a photo if needed and issue or order your social card.
- 7.Pick up the card (if not given on the spot), activate it and top it up where your ayuntamiento allows (ticket offices, machines, estancos or the operator’s web/app).
