This is about getting the municipal authorisation to put tables and chairs on the street and paying the fee for occupying public ground. It's for bars, restaurants and cafés that want to set up a legal terraza.

- 1.Check the terrace ordenanza of your ayuntamiento (required clear widths, opening hours, street categories) and measure on site what you can occupy.
- 2.Log in to the sede electrónica of your ayuntamiento with Cl@ve and search for “Terrazas de hostelería” or “Ocupación de vía pública con mesas y sillas”.
- 3.Fill the application or declaración responsable stating square metres, season (annual/seasonal), opening hours and elements (tables, chairs, parasols, windbreaks).
- 4.Attach the plano acotado, photos, insurance policy + paid receipt, furniture fichas and the other annexes the ordenanza requires.
- 5.Register the application and save the registration receipt; an expediente opens and, if needed, an inspection may check measurements and compatibilities (accessibility, buses, trees, heritage).
- 6.You receive the resolución and the liquidación of the municipal fee; pay it via the ayuntamiento payment gateway or a collaborating bank using the liquidación number.
- 7.Once payment is recorded and you have the authorisation, set up the terraza according to the conditions and install the placa/QR if they give one.
