Get your electronic signature: Certificado FNMT and Cl@ve Firma

- 1.Go to the FNMT: https://www.sede.fnmt.gob.es/certificados/persona-fisica/obtener-certificado-software and click “Solicitar certificado”. Install the Configurador FNMT, fill your details and generate the request. You’ll get the Código de Solicitud by email.
- 2.If you have a reader and DNIe PIN, issue it at home from “Con DNIe”: https://www.sede.fnmt.gob.es/certificados/persona-fisica/obtener-certificado-con-dnie. If not, prove your identity at an Oficina de Registro (AEAT, Seguridad Social, ayuntamientos). Find offices here: https://www.sede.fnmt.gob.es/certificados/persona-fisica/oficinas-de-registro.
- 3.After proving your identity, return to the same computer and browser you used for the request. On the same FNMT page go to “Descargar certificado”, enter your DNI/NIE and the Código de Solicitud, and install it. Then export a copy .p12/.pfx with the private key and a password.
- 4.Register in Cl@ve with your certificate (alta avanzada) at https://clave.gob.es/clave_Home/registro.html. Activate Cl@ve Permanente if you want to use Cl@ve Firma for signing on sites that accept it.
- 5.Install AutoFirma from https://firmaelectronica.gob.es/Home/Descargas.html to sign PDFs and forms. On Mac, authorise the app in System Preferences > Security & Privacy if it blocks.
- 6.Test your signature here: https://valide.redsara.es/valide/ (certificate and signature validation). Better to fail the test than fail when submitting to the AEAT.
