Consultation and certificate of the Valor de Referencia (Catastro)
Energy certificates expire. Without a valid one, the contract may be voided.
Use this to check and get the official certificate of the Valor de Referencia for a property — the figure used for ITP and Sucesiones. Handy if you’re buying, inheriting, or want to ask for a correction because it doesn’t match reality.

- 1.Go to https://www.sedecatastro.gob.es and under “Valor de referencia” click “Consulta”. No ID required to look it up.
- 2.If you don’t know the referencia catastral, use on the same sede “Consulta de datos catastrales” > “Sin certificado” and search by dirección. Copy the referencia catastral.
- 3.In the valor de referencia query, enter the referencia catastral or the address, pick the correct year and check the value Catastro assigns. Make sure it actually matches your property.
- 4.If you need an official certificate (PDF with CSV), identify with Cl@ve, certificado digital or DNIe on the Sede and go to “Obtener certificación del valor de referencia”. Download and keep the PDF.
- 5.If you find errors or special circumstances (ruined state, missing qualities, etc.), under “Trámites” > “Valor de referencia” choose “Solicitar rectificación”, identify, fill in the reason and attach evidence. Submit and save the registration receipt.
- 6.Watch notifications on the Sede and in your Carpeta Ciudadana (https://carpetaciudadana.gob.es). When they resolve it, download the resolution and use it for taxes if needed.
