To register on the Padrón of the Ayuntamiento de Madrid, change address or correct details, and get your volante or certificado. Useful if you just moved, share a flat, or they ask for it for médico, colegio, becas or extranjería.

- 1.Go to https://sede.madrid.es/ and search “Padrón: alta y cambio de domicilio” or “Padrón: certificados y volantes”. Click Tramitar en línea.
- 2.Identify yourself with Cl@ve, certificado digital or DNIe.
- 3.For alta/cambio: fill the form, add household members, attach the hoja padronal signed and the proof of address (and authorizations if needed). Check everything and submit.
- 4.For a volante: go to “Obtener volante de empadronamiento”, choose type (individual/colective/historical) and download it immediately as a PDF with CSV.
- 5.To request a certificado: choose “Certificado de empadronamiento” (individual/colective/historical), indicate how you want the electronic notification and submit the request. They will upload it in a few days.
- 6.If you prefer in-person: book a cita at Oficinas de Atención a la Ciudadanía Línea Madrid from the sede, bring originals and copies. The volante is usually printed on the spot; the certificado is delivered or sent later.
