If you’re going for public contracts, they’ll ask for the certificate proving you’re up to date with Hacienda and a Registro Mercantil certificate about your director/powers. Here’s how to get both fast and without drama.

- 1.Log into sede.agenciatributaria.gob.es with Cl@ve or your certificado and request the “Certificado de estar al corriente para contratar”. Download the PDF with CSV.
- 2.Check your IAE registration. If the epígrafe doesn’t match the contract object, change the census using Modelo 036 on the AEAT Sede (Censos).
- 3.Request the mercantile certification of appointment and standing of the administrator on registradores.org (and powers if needed). Ask for electronic delivery with CSV.
- 4.If you don’t have a representative’s certificado digital, request it at the FNMT Sede and activate it. Without that, AEAT and most e-procurement platforms won’t let you proceed.
- 5.Save all PDFs with their CSVs and, if the pliego allows, authorise the contracting body to query your AEAT certificates so you don’t have to attach them.
- 6.Submit your bid on contrataciondelestado.gob.es (or the platform the pliego specifies) and attach the certificates if they require them in the solvency/award phase.
- 7.If they ask for subsanación, generate fresh certificates (some pliegos demand < 3 months) and upload them within the deadline.
