Register an additional dwelling in the Catastro (physical alteration 901N/902N)
Use this to tell the Catastro that your property now has an additional dwelling (from works, internal segregation or a change of use). It lets each dwelling get its own referencia catastral and makes sure the IBI is calculated correctly.

- 1.Go to https://www.sedecatastro.gob.es and identify yourself with Cl@ve, certificado digital or DNIe.
- 2.Go to Declaraciones catastrales and choose the physical alteration that fits: 901N (new construction/change of use) or 902N (extensions, renovations, internal segregations).
- 3.Fill in the form: property data (referencia catastral), date of completion of works, description of the new dwelling, built/useable areas and use (residential).
- 4.Attach PDFs: licence, certificado final de obra, planos, and the escritura or título habilitante. Sign and submit. Keep the justificante.
- 5.If you go in person, book an appointment at your Gerencia/Subgerencia del Catastro from the sede, print the completed modelo 901N/902N and take originals and copies.
- 6.Watch notifications in Carpeta Ciudadana (https://carpetaciudadana.gob.es) or on the Catastro sede. If they request documents, answer within the deadline (normally 10 working days) attaching what's missing.
- 7.When you receive the resolution, check the new referencia catastral/element in the Consulta Descriptiva y Gráfica and then check your IBI with the ayuntamiento.
