Catastro: declare an additional dwelling (Modelo 900D)
Energy certificates expire. Without a valid one, the contract may be voided.
You have created another dwelling inside your flat/house (internal division, change of use, extension) and you need to tell Catastro. With this Catastro procedure the additional dwelling will be recorded so the IBI and the cadastral description match reality.

- 1.Enters the Sede Electrónica del Catastro: https://www.sedecatastro.gob.es and log in with Cl@ve, certificado digital or DNIe.
- 2.Go to Trámites > Declaraciones catastrales and choose Declaración de alteración de bienes inmuebles (Modelo 900D).
- 3.Fill in the data: referencia catastral, fecha de fin de obra and tick the alteration that applies (e.g. change of use, internal redistribution, increase in número de viviendas). State surfaces and describe the additional dwelling.
- 4.Attach the documentation: licencia/DR, certificado final de obra, escritura (if there is división horizontal), planos and the rest. Upload PDFs with moderate size (preferably <10 MB per file).
- 5.Sign and submit the declaración. Download the justificante with the expediente number and keep the receipt.
- 6.Check notifications in your DEHú (https://dehu.redsara.es) and on the Sede (Mis expedientes). If they ask for subsanación, reply online attaching what’s missing within the deadline they give.
- 7.When it’s resolved, download the certificación descriptiva y gráfica from the Sede to check the additional dwelling appears (and, if applicable, the new referencia or the increase in número de viviendas).
