Register a cooperative: name, deed, Registro de Cooperativas and NIF
If you're setting up a cooperative you must reserve a name, sign the deed and register it in the Registro de Cooperativas (autonomous or state), and request a provisional/definitive NIF at the AEAT. That's what lets you operate and invoice without surprises.

- 1.Go to the sede of the Registro de Cooperativas that corresponds to you and request the certificación negativa de denominación (if your activity will be in several CCAA use the registro estatal: https://www.mites.gob.es/es/economia-social/cooperativas/registro/index.htm)
- 2.Go to the notary with the certification and the estatutos and sign the escritura de constitución (bring DNI/NIE of the partners and details of the órgano de administración)
- 3.Request the NIF provisional online at the AEAT using Modelo 036 (Cl@ve/certificado) and download the receipt: https://sede.agenciatributaria.gob.es/Sede/censos-nif-iae.html
- 4.Submit the inscripción in the Registro de Cooperativas with the escritura, estatutos and justificante of the tasa (online if your CCAA allows it; state register here: https://www.mites.gob.es/es/economia-social/cooperativas/registro/index.htm)
- 5.When they notify you of the inscripción, go back to the AEAT and request the NIF definitivo with Modelo 036 attaching the nota de inscripción
- 6.Optional but common: do the alta censal of obligations (IAE/IVA/retentions) with Modelo 036 and, if you will have working partners in Seguridad Social, register the company and CCC in Importass: https://importass.seg-social.es
